Psychotherapy

Life can be hard, right?  Considering the ups, downs, and curve balls that we all encounter throughout our lifetimes, it can be beneficial to have a safe space and objective support person as you navigate your journey.  I am here to help.  I use cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and wholistic methods aimed to assist you with working through and resolving the challenges you are experiencing.  Particularly, I will assist you with building insight around your way of thinking, boundaries, mindfulness, and assertiveness.

My hope is that you feel empowered and resilient enough to work through whatever challenges you encounter. I am a firm believer that life is meant to be lived freely and in abundance in all areas of life. Let's work together to get there!

Life can be hard, but it can be beautiful too...

Methods Practiced At Blissful:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT):  psychotherapy model that addresses issues by modifying dysfunctional emotions, thoughts and behaviors.  CBT focuses on solutions, encouraging patients to challenge distorted thought patterns and change destructive behavior.

  • Holistic Methods:  Philosophy that all parts of a person are interconnected, including mind, body, spirit, and social factors.

  • Mindfulness:  a form of psychotherapy that incorporates mindfulness practices, like meditation and focused attention on the present moment, to help individuals become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgment, allowing them to better manage stress, regulate emotions, and cope with challenging situations.

  • Narrative Therapy:  model that involves developing awareness around different stories that one carries throughout their life and the impact such stories has had. Narrative therapy aims to separate the individual from the problem, allowing the individual to externalize their issues rather than internalize them.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT): a goal-directed therapy model that focuses on a person's present and future circumstances and goals rather than past experiences.  SFT encourages those in treatment to develop a vision of the future and offers support as they determine the skills, resources and abilities needed to achieve that vision successfully.
